Call for application: practical work (internships), training and visits

Within the project “Nanoparticles in Environment and Medical Research”, the University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”, opens the call for applications for practical work (internships), training and visits for researchers of the Republic of Kosovo from Public Institutions to European research institutions funded by European Union (“Increasing Research Capacities in Kosovo” No. 438247), (including graduates, doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, academic and administrative staff) for a period:

• 3-6 months for the purpose of training in European research institutions, such as the University of Milan (UM), the University of Parma (UNIPR), and in Kings College London (KCL).

• For a period of 1-2 weeks (short visits) to European Institutions at KCL, UM and UNIPR (academic staff is supported for short visits also to European Institutes outside partners that are relevant to the project) – academic and administrative staff.

Types of mobility include:

Practical work (internship), training and visits to develop laboratory research skills, research management skills and transferable skills for:

• Graduate students (or in the master’s/diploma topic phase in integrated studies);

• PhD students;

• Post-doctoral researchers;

• Academic and administrative staff (short-term mobility).

Scholarships include:

• Monthly compensation;

• Travel cost;

Monthly payment based on current rates specific to each visit site (UK-London and Italy-Milan and Parma) and based on participant position-specific rates (ie students, PhD, post-doc, academic staff). As well as the cost of travel (for approximate rates such as KCL, UM and UNIPR).

Documents required for application for graduate students:

• CV (in English);

• Certificate (issued by the relevant faculty, confirming the level of studies and the academic year);

• Certificate of grades/transcripts (in English);

• Copy of passport (page containing name, photo and personal data) or identity card;

• A letter of motivation that includes the candidate’s benefits from the intended practice; (in English, maximum 500 words);

• Proof of knowledge of the English language.

Documents required for application by doctoral students:

• CV (in English);

• Certificate (issued by the relevant faculty, confirming the level of studies and the academic year);

• Certificate of grades/transcripts (in English);

• Copy of passport (page containing name, photo and personal data) or identity card;

• A letter that includes the candidate’s benefits from the intended internship; (in English language);

• Proof of knowledge of the English language

• Letter of recommendation from academic staff (in English).

Documents required for application by post-doctoral researchers or academic staff:

• CV (in English) including the list of publications;

• PhD degree (or employment contract for staff);

• Copy of passport (page containing name, photo and personal data) or identity card;

• A letter of motivation for the internship/visit including the benefits it will offer to the candidate, the project and the candidate’s institution (in English);

• Proof of knowledge of the English language (minimum level B2 for post-doctoral researchers);

• Letter of recommendation from the academic staff and the head of the Department.

Documents required for application by administrative staff:

• CV (in English);

• Work contract;

• Copy of passport (page containing name, photo and personal data) or identity card;

• A letter of motivation that includes the benefits of the candidate and the institution from the visit (in English);

• Proof of knowledge of the English language;

• Letter of recommendation from line manager.
