As part of their weekly lectures, the Atomists from Section III conducted a study visit to the cutting-edge facilities of the scientific project “Nanoparticles in the Environment and Medical Research – NanoKos.”
The group was warmly welcomed by the project coordinator, Prof. Armond Daci from the University of Prishtina. Through a detailed presentation, Prof. Daci highlighted the objectives and achievements of NanoKos, a significant collaboration between the University of Prishtina and prestigious institutions like King’s College London, the University of Milan, and the University of Parma. The project aims to advance research in nanotechnology, offering a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with sophisticated technology, training opportunities for staff and students from partner universities, and support for participation in international conferences. Additionally, NanoKos fosters networking between researchers and diaspora experts, who actively contribute as collaborators and lecturers.
Following the presentation, the Atomists had the opportunity to tour the NanoKos laboratory and observe the advanced equipment used in scientific research. The visit provided a unique chance for the students to deepen their understanding of applied science and witness its impact on improving health and the environment.
This enriching experience left a lasting impression on the Atomists, inspiring their curiosity and passion for scientific discovery. NanoKos was honored to host such bright young minds, and we thank the ATOMI Institute for organizing this visit and recognizing the importance of collaboration in promoting science and innovation.
