Visit in KCL- one of the world’s top-ranked institutions

As NanoKos continues to foster international collaboration, Professor Ramadan Sopi, an expert in Molecular Biology, and Professor Burim Neziri, a specialist in Pathophysiology, recently visited King’s College London (KCL), one of the world’s top-ranked institutions renowned for its groundbreaking research. Both professors bring extensive international academic experience, with one holding a Master’s and PhD degree from the USA and the other having completed a PhD and postdoctoral studies in the USA. They both published in top medical field journals in the respiration field.

The visit was warmly hosted by NanoKos project coordinator Dr. Driton Vllasaliu, who showcased the achievements and ongoing work being carried out under the NanoKos framework.

During their visit, the professors had the opportunity to meet with Arbnor Cakiqi and Agime Beqaj, students from the University of Prishtina who are currently undertaking their internships at KCL. Their discussions highlighted the impact of NanoKos in providing hands-on training and research opportunities for young scholars, equipping them with skills to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in nanomedicine.

This visit not only emphasized the importance of academic exchange but also reinforced the bond between the University of Prishtina and King’s College London. With experienced academics and promising young researchers working together, the NanoKos project continues to build a strong foundation for future collaboration and innovation in nanotechnology and beyond.
