Workshop Recap: Research, Innovation, and Collaboration in Nanoscience!

On December 16-17, 2024, NanoAlb-NANOBALKAN in collaboration with EU projects SUSNANO and NANOKOS successfully hosted the Workshop “Research, Innovation and Collaboration supported by national and international projects” in Prishtina, Kosovo.

The two-day event brought together leading researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to showcase and discuss the scientific achievements of NanoAlb-NANOBALKAN groups and their partners throughout 2024.

Day 1 Highlights:

NanoAlb Ignite Projects (2024-2026): Focused on the implementation and results of these transformative projects, the sessions emphasized the contributions from partner institutions and explored opportunities for further collaborations.

Day 2 Highlights:

Quartz Forum: “Redefining Tomorrow Through Nano Innovation”

The forum highlighted the critical role of young researchers in advancing nanoscience to tackle global challenges.

In this event NANOKOS contributed significantly to the discussions on building capacity in environmental and nanomedicine research in Kosovo.

Our members were being present and active with 8 oral presentations from 4 senior members (Armond, Driton, Toske and Qendresa), 1 master thesis (Artijola) and 3 PhD students (Diar, Liridon and Arion) within the frame of project gained during the internships and collaboration.

Finally we have visited STEM lab (Erasmus EU – funded project) and Laboratory of Applied Medicine and Nanobioscience Research at the Faculty of Medicine.

The event was an exceptional opportunity to share knowledge, build networks and foster collaboration.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this impactful workshop.
